Asha Panicker

Asha is an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor’s Of Occupational Therapy from Trinity College Dublin. She supports children and young people to develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed to participate meaningfully in everyday life. She brings extensive experience working within special education, clinic, and community settings, partnering closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve functional and sustainable outcomes.

Her depth of work in a special education school setting supports children with diverse developmental needs including autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, physical disabilities, and learning challenges. Her work focused on enhancing participation within school routines through functional skill development, sensory regulation strategies, environmental adaptations, and collaborative goal setting. Asha has a strong clinical interest in sensory-informed and play-based therapy. She integrates Ayres Sensory Integration principles with child-led, strengths-based intervention to support emotional regulation, motor development, attention, and engagement in learning.

She is particularly passionate about school readiness and school-based intervention, helping children build foundational skills for successful participation in classroom environments, social interactions, and daily routines. Collaboration is central to Asha’s therapeutic approach. She values working alongside parents, teachers, and support teams to embed therapy strategies naturally within the child’s everyday environments. Her style emphasises coaching and empowering caregivers with practical tools that extend progress beyond therapy sessions and into real-life participation.

Outside of work, Asha enjoys activities that support her wellbeing, creativity, and reflection. She enjoys a good long hike in nature and a relaxing run. As well as relaxing with a good book and coffee with friends. She also enjoys yoga practices to ground herself.
