Occupational Therapist
Amy joined the Posity team armed with a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice and a Bachelor in Nutrition Science from Monash University. Her academic prowess is complemented by a strong passion for evidence-based practice and research, notably demonstrated through her published papers with Monash University’s Nutrition and Dietetics department. Amy’s diverse background also encompasses valuable clinical, administrative, and project management experiences, enhancing her multifaceted approach to occupational therapy.
Amy’s clinical journey is marked by her broad placement experiences across a spectrum of demographics, from young children to older adults, each with unique therapeutic needs. Her notable contributions include work at a youth-run organisation dedicated to young people with disabilities and intensive paediatric assessment and intervention. Her use of innovative modalities like Lego therapy, sensory processing theory, and early childhood interventions underscores her commitment to effective, evidence-based therapy.
Paediatrics is not just Amy’s field of interest but her passion. She excels in integrating evidence-based methods into her practice, ensuring that therapy is not only effective but also engaging.
